Texas Heat Treating has added its ninth Carburizing “Super 36” style furnace. The furnace, manufactured by Surface Combustion, is an integral-quench style furnace. It is used primarily for Carburizing and Neutral Hardening, and can accommodate load sizes up to 7,000 pounds.
Nitriding System Addition

Texas Heat Treating has installed and commissioned its second Nitreg® Nitriding furnace. The system provides complete closed-loop control of the nitriding atmosphere and is compliant with AMS 2759/10A. This control capability allows for a wide range of case properties. The furnace work zone is 60”diameter and 144” deep, with a load capacity of 22,000 pounds.
Nitriding customers in Houston, and throughout Texas and Oklahoma, are serviced by daily truck routes.
