Integral Quench Furnace Now On-Line

Texas Heat Treating’s Fort Worth operation has brought on-line its seventh “Super 36” integral quench furnace. This furnace was purchased new in February 2015. In consideration of declining oil-filed activity at the time, full commissioning and production use was delayed. Given current customer demands the furnace, with its associated fixturing and required qualifications, is now in use. The furnace is used for Carburizing and atmosphere-controlled Hardening. It has a work zone of 36” x 36” x 72” and a work-load rating of 6,000 pounds.
